Nedre slamdam

Dammen blei bygd då Øvre slamdam begynte å bli full, og det blei behov for å bygge ein dam nedanfor denne. Demninga blei bygd med stein frå tipphaugane ved gruva og tetta med torv. 

Lower sludge pond

The lower sludge pond was built when the upper sludge pond started to fill up and additional capacity was needed. The dam was built with rock from the mine tips and sealed with peat.
